However, we have no expectation that the USCIRF will engage with the reality of India\u2019s pluralistic framework or acknowledge the harmonious coexistence of its diverse communities,\u201d Jaiswal pointed out.<\/p>\n<p> He added that such efforts to undermine India\u2019s standing as a beacon of democracy and tolerance would not succeed. \u201cIn fact, it is the USCIRF that should be designated as an entity of concern,\u201d the MEA Spokesperson remarked.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> The USCIRF annual report recommended that the U.S. government designate India as a \u2018country of particular concern\u2019 for religious freedom violations and impose targeted sanctions on individuals and entities for their culpability in severe violations of religious freedom.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Representative image.
