Describing talent, technology, innovation, and infrastructure as key drivers of the country\u2019s development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited top CEOs and business leaders from Germany to join India’s growth story while addressing them in New Delhi on Friday (October 25, 2024).\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the right time to join India’s growth story. When India’s dynamism meets Germany’s precision,when Germany’s engineering meets India’s innovation, when Germany’s technology combines with India’s talent, a brighter future is envisioned for the Indo-Pacific region and the world,\u201d Prime Minister Modi asserted while speaking at the 18th Asia Pacific Conference of German Business.<\/p>\n Highlighting India\u2019s commitment to providing every innovation with a strong platform and the best infrastructure, he said the country\u2019s digital public infrastructure was creating \u201cendless opportunities\u201d for new startups and Industry 4.0. \u201cIndia is also transforming its physical infrastructure with record investments in rail, roads, airports, and ports. There are extensive opportunities here for companies from Germany and the Indo-Pacific region,\u201d he pointed out.<\/p>\n Prime Minister Modi also invited business leaders to take advantage of the green hydrogen ecosystem that India was developing, pointing out that India and Germany were working together on renewable energy. \u201cLast month, the fourth Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet was organized in Gujarat in collaboration with Germany. An India-Germany platform has also been launched for investing in renewable energy at the global level,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The Strength of an Aspirational India<\/b>\u00a0 \u201cToday, an additional great force drives all of these: the strength of Aspirational India. That is, the combined power of AI \u2014 Artificial Intelligence and Aspirational India \u2014 is with us. Our youth are driving Aspirational India,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n In the last century, natural resources accelerated development. In this century, human resources and innovations will propel growth, Prime Minister Modi said. \u201cThis is why India is committed to democratizing skills and technology for its youth,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n He went on to explain how India was working for the needs of the \u201cfuture world\u201d through Mission AI, the Semiconductor Mission, the Quantum Mission, Mission Green Hydrogen, Missions related to space technology, and the Digital India Mission. \u201cAll of them aim to provide the best and most reliable solutions for the world. These areas offer numerous investment and collaboration opportunities for all of you,\u201d Prime Minister Modi told the audience.<\/p>\n 25th Anniversary India-Germany Strategic Partnership<\/b> Pointing out that India had created a roadmap for the country\u2019s development over the coming 25 years, he expressed happiness that the German Cabinet had released the “Focus on India\u201d document at such a critical time. \u201cThe world’s two strongest democracies, two of the world’s leading economies\u2026 together, we can become a force for global good, and the Focus on India document provides a blueprint for this\u201d, he stated.<\/p>\n Germany’s decision to increase the number of visas for skilled Indians from 20,000 to 90,000 per year also found mention in Prime Minister Modi’s address as he described the trust that Germany has expressed the skilled workforce of India as \u201cnoteworthy\u201d. He stated: \u201cI am confident that this will further boost Germany’s economic growth\u201d.<\/p>\n Another area Prime Minister Modi highlighted was the India-Germany bilateral trade, which has surpassed 30 billion dollars. \u201cIndia is becoming a prime center of diversification and de-risking and is emerging as a hub of global trade and manufacturing.
