At least six people were killed in the unprecedented attack, which has drawn condemnation from around the world, including Arab and Muslim countries.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"773\" data-end=\"1065\">Here is what leaders said at the summit:<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"qatar\" data-start=\"773\" data-end=\"1065\">Qatar<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cMy country\u2019s capital was subjected to a treacherous attack targeting a residence housing the families of Hamas leaders and their negotiating delegation,\u201d Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said in his opening speech.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Tamim added that Israel was not interested in ending the war in Gaza, as it was trying \u201cto thwart the negotiations\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you wish to insist on the liberation of hostages, why then do they assassinate all negotiators? How can we host in our country negotiating delegations from Israel while they send drones and planes for an air raid against our country?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Qatar\u2019s emir added that Netanyahu dreams of the Arab region becoming an Israeli sphere of influence.<\/p>\n<p>This is a dangerous illusion, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe negotiations between Israel and Hamas were about to reach an achievement with the help of the sisterly country of Egypt and the United States of America. This has resulted in the liberation of many hostages.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIsrael continues its intransigence and insistence on continuing the war,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"turkiye\" data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1158\">Turkiye<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cWe are dealing with a terrorist mindset that thrives on chaos and bloodshed, embodied in a state. This mindset, which openly violates the UN charter and challenges the rules-based international system, survives because its crimes go unpunished,\u201d Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"376\" data-end=\"784\">\u201cThere is a greedy, bloodthirsty mentality among Israeli officials,\u201d he added, accusing the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of seeking to continue massacres and drag the region into chaos.<\/p>\n<p>The Doha attack has taken \u201cIsrael\u2019s banditry\u201d to a new level, Erdogan said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEconomic pressure must be exerted on Israel, and past experience has proven the success of such pressure,\u201d he said, adding that \u201cwe cannot accept the displacement of the Palestinian people, their genocide or partition\u201d.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3951787\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3951787\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/000_74LG49F-1757967535.jpg?w=770&#038;resize=770%2C511&#038;quality=80\" alt=\"Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani (C) posing for a group picture with leaders, heads of state and other officials during the 2025 Arab-Islamic emergency summit in Doha on September 15, 2025. I warn that Israel\u2019s uncontrolled behaviour will exacerbate the conflict and destabilise the region,\u201d Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI say to the people of Israel that what is happening now is sabotaging the existing peace agreements, and the consequences will be dire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>El-Sisi added that Israel must understand that its security and sovereignty will not be achieved by force, but rather by respecting the law and sovereignty of other states.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"iran\" data-start=\"402\" data-end=\"643\">Iran<\/h2>\n<p>Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said leaders should reinforce their \u201cunity and solidarity\u201d to stand up against Israel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should stand up to these threats, reiterating that any further crimes cannot be tolerated, and shall not remain silent towards what is unfolding now in Gaza or what has taken place in Beirut or Yemen,\u201d he urged.<\/p>\n<p>Pezeshkian said that unity must not only be based on shared religion but on the \u201cshared tenets of humanity\u201d.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"388\" data-end=\"757\">\u201cIt is possible that Islamic countries cut their ties with this fake regime and maintain unity and cohesion as much as possible,\u201d Pezeshkian said.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"iraq\" data-start=\"402\" data-end=\"643\">Iraq<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe security and stability of any Arab or Islamic country [are] an integral part of our collective security,\u201d said Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe current conditions call for moving from condemnation to coordinated collective action\u201d, he added, and proposed forming \u201ca joint Arab-Islamic committee to convey our position to the UN Security Council and General Assembly, the European Union and other international fora\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a real opportunity to send a clear message confirming that the security of our countries is not a matter of negotiation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He urged leaders at the summit to issue \u201ca unified Arab and Islamic position condemning the attack\u201d on Qatar, which he said had \u201cexceeded all limits and violated every humanitarian principle\u201d, and to develop a comprehensive roadmap for a ceasefire.<\/p>\n<p>Failure to deter Israel would \u201clead to further instability and will not achieve security for any party\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3951789\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3951789\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/000_74LG7RH-1757967598.jpg?w=770&#038;resize=770%2C513&#038;quality=80\" alt=\"This handout picture released by the he Qatar News Agency (QNA) shows Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani (Right) meeting with Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on the sidelines of the 2025 Arab-Islamic emergency summit in Doha on September 15, 2025. This demands a firm Arab and Muslim position and firm intervention by the US and the UN Security Council to bring the rogue state and its behaviour to an end,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"malaysia\" data-start=\"384\" data-end=\"771\">Malaysia<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cOur people have become wary of words. They have watched us issue condemnation after condemnation, declaration after declaration, while Israel escalates with impunity, as future generations will ask whether we found the courage to act. We do not ask nations to go beyond their basic obligations,\u201d Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCondemnations will not stop the missiles. Declarations will not free Palestine. Severe, punitive actions must be put in place. Diplomatic engagements must cease, and so must relations with Israel,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"indonesia\" data-start=\"333\" data-end=\"740\">Indonesia<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe Palestinian question is not solely about Palestine. It\u2019s about the survival of our nations, the dignity of our people, and the sanctity of international law,\u201d Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka said.<\/p>\n<p>The summit \u201cmust not only issue collective condemnation against Israel, but also urge the United Nations Security Council to fulfil its mandate by taking firm and urgent measures to ensure accountability and prevent any recurrence\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pakistan\" data-start=\"474\" data-end=\"727\">Pakistan<\/h2>\n<p>Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif affirmed his country\u2019s full solidarity with Qatar and condemned the attack in the strongest terms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn my statement, I strongly condemned Israel\u2019s aggression in the Middle East, reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s unwavering solidarity with Qatar, and reiterated our firm commitment to peace in the region, including our resolute support for a just and lasting two-state solution,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"gulf-cooperation-council\" data-start=\"394\" data-end=\"715\">Gulf Cooperation Council<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cWe expect our strategic partners in the US to use their influence on Israel for it to stop this behaviour \u2013 we really do expect that,\u201d said Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, the secretary-general of the Gulf Cooperation Council.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"225\" data-end=\"389\">\u201cThe summit and its proceedings reflect \u201cthe status, respect, and appreciation enjoyed by Qatar\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"organisation-of-islamic-cooperation\" data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1158\">Organisation of Islamic Cooperation<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe summit is an opportunity to take a unified and firm stance against the heinous Israeli aggression,\u201d said Hissein Brahim Taha, secretary-general of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe reiterate our strong condemnation of the blatant attack on the State of Qatar and its territorial sovereignty,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He called for the Arab and Islamic states present to take \u201cfirm decisions\u201d against Israel, and for the wider international community \u201cto assume its responsibilities and hold Israel accountable for its crimes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe affirm our support for the outcomes of the international conference to resolve the Palestinian issue and the two-state solution,\u201d he said, adding that \u201cwe are confident that the outcomes of this summit will strengthen Arab and Islamic solidarity\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"arab-league\" data-start=\"348\" data-end=\"657\">Arab League<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe message says \u2018enough silence\u2019 to the acts of thuggery by this rogue state, which has been wreaking havoc, destruction, killing and starvation within the region,\u201d Ahmed Aboul Gheit, secretary-general of the Arab League, said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecond, silence to criminality is per se a crime. Silence to the violation of international law undermines the international system,\u201d Gheit said.<\/p>\n<p>Such silence, Gheit added, has emboldened the Israeli army to feel that \u201ceach and every act is possible and any crime can go unpunished.
