The DHS calls it the largest operation of its kind in the country\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p>Crowds of protesters across Minneapolis have clashed with the immigration officers, opposing their efforts to target undocumented migrants, with some officers responding with violence.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the escalating dispute between Trump and local state and city leaders, the president threatened on Thursday to invoke the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2026\/1\/16\/trump-threatens-to-use-insurrection-act-in-minnesota-what-it-means\">Insurrection Act<\/a>, allowing him to deploy the military to police the protests.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I needed it, I would use it.
