No casualties were reported, and it was not immediately clear if there was damage to the facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Iraq\u2019s oil industry has been severely impacted by the US and Israel\u2019s war on Iran and Iran\u2019s closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil trading corridor.<\/p>\n<p>Iraqi Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani said in a video statement on Monday that a pipeline from the northern city of Kirkuk to Turkiye would be operational within a week, allowing the country to resume its oil exports, which have been interrupted by the ongoing war.<\/p>\n<p>Also on Monday, air defences intercepted and shot down a drone near Erbil airport in the semi-autonomous Kurdish region of northern Iraq, according to security sources.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, which took place amid the escalating Israel-US war on Iran.
