The case has raised persistent questions over the origin of the money and why it was concealed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1184\" data-end=\"1295\">\u201cThe good thing is that Parliament seems to be moving forward,\u201d said DA parliamentary leader George Michalakis.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1297\" data-end=\"1547\">The 31-member committee will begin by electing a chairperson. \u201cThe DA\u2019s strong opinion is that it shouldn\u2019t be someone from the ANC,\u201d Michalakis added, signalling the party\u2019s push to limit the influence of Ramaphosa\u2019s African National Congress (ANC).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1549\" data-end=\"1728\">The DA, the second-largest party in South Africa\u2019s coalition government with the ANC, has maintained pressure on the president and said it will hold him accountable if wrongdoing is confirmed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1939\">Ramaphosa has responded by challenging the process in court.
