Expensive win because after last year it changed everything,\u201d said Marquez, who also won \u2060Saturday\u2019s sprint from pole position.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the sport is like this. From one day to the other, one can change everything. I learned this in 2020 (after a season-ending crash).\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"nightmare-for-aprilia-in-multi-rider-crash\">Nightmare for Aprilia in multi-rider crash<\/h2>\n<p>It became a nightmare race for Aprilia when Jorge Martin lost his balance on the first lap at turn one and crashed into three riders, including his teammate and championship leader Marco Bezzecchi.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200ccrash also took out Gresini Racing\u2019s Fermin Aldeguer and Trackhouse rider Raul Fernandez, as three Aprilia bikes were taken out of contention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t do a good start and when I started to brake, I just saw something arriving so fast,\u201d Bagnaia said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was Martin arriving (at) double the speed, so maybe it was two (riders) on the inside and locked the front, because the new tarmac on corner one was very slippery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both Martin and Bezzecchi were taken to the medical centre, with Aprilia later confirming Martin had bruising on his back and right foot while Bezzecchi suffered contusions on his \u2060right leg and hand, though neither rider showed visible fractures.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4634049\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4634049\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/2026-06-07T122538Z_555279449_UP1EM670YIOEV_RTRMADP_3_MOTOR-MOTOGP-HUNGARY-1780841020.jpg?w=770&#038;resize=770%2C468&#038;quality=80\" alt=\"Jorge Martin reacts.\" fetchpriority=\"low\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4634049\">Aprilia Racing\u2019s Jorge Martin falls after crashing on lap one of the Hungarian Grand Prix \u00a0[Bernadett Szabo\/Reuters]<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"marquez-and-acosta-battle-for-win\">Marquez and Acosta battle for win<\/h2>\n<p>Up \u2060front, Acosta seized the initiative on lap two, diving inside to take the lead in a thrilling battle that saw the KTM rider and Marquez trade fastest laps while leaving Bagnaia far behind in third.<\/p>\n<p>The decisive moment came on lap 14 when Marquez made his move, only for Acosta to \u2060respond immediately, with the KTM rider even nudging aside his compatriot near the final turn, but Marquez was not to be denied.<\/p>\n<p>Taking the lead at the chicane on the next \u2060lap, Marquez then streaked away, building a commanding advantage before cruising to victory \u2060as Acosta seemed to struggle with tyre wear.<\/p>\n<p>In a moment of pure joy, he stood on his bike as he crossed the finish line, before celebrating with a red flag emblazoned with the number 100.<\/p>\n<p>The milestone puts Marquez in exclusive company as only the third rider to reach a century of wins, \u200cjoining motorcycling greats Giacomo Agostini (122) and Valentino Rossi (115).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe come back and we work hard. Some difficulties this first part of the season but I knew that here was a big chance to win,\u201d Marquez added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to say thanks to the \u200cpeople \u200cthat believed in me \u2013 the doctors, the physios, a lot of hours at home working.
