This is not the first time such a measure has been taken against him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Israel has not commented on Hussein\u2019s brief arrest or banning.<\/p>\n<p>The incident is the latest in a pattern of escalating <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2026\/6\/9\/six-countries-sanction-networks-enabling-settler-violence-in-west-bank\">Israeli measures<\/a> in occupied Palestinian territory since the start of the genocide in Gaza in October 2023.<\/p>\n<p>More than 1,100 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank since then, including at least 243 children, amid what rights groups say is an intensifying campaign of military raids, settler violence and expanding Israeli control.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, six Palestinians, including children, were reportedly injured during an attack by settlers in Huwara, Nablus.<\/p>\n<p>Local sources said settlers set upon a Palestinian family, including an elderly man, using pepper spray and physically beating them.<\/p>\n<p>The attack took place on land belonging to the family. Israeli forces were reportedly present and protected the settlers during the attack.<\/p>\n<p>Israeli forces then allegedly assaulted residents and arrested three members of the family, including 80-year-old Ibrahim Ismail al-Jabour.<\/p>\n<p>The incident comes amid growing international concern over violence in the occupied West Bank. Last month, Amnesty International released a report accusing the Israeli government of carrying out a campaign of ethnic cleansing in the territory.
